Introduction:
Creating a manifest in WebJoint is a straightforward process that helps you maintain a clear record of your incoming inventory. This article will guide you through the steps to create a manifest and integrate it with METRC if required.

Steps to Create a Manifest:

  1. Accessing Manifests:

    • Start by clicking on the "Inventory" tab located on the left side.

    • From the dropdown, select "Manifests".

  2. Adding a New Manifest:

    • Once you are on the manifests page, you'll see a list of your previous manifests.

    • To create a new one, click on the button labeled "Add a New Manifest" situated on the right side of the page.

  3. Filling Out the Manifest:

    • Now, you'll need to input details pertaining to the incoming inventory. The boxes you'll fill out include:

      • Vendor Information

      • Storage Room

      • Expected Arrival Date

      • Products Being Purchased

      • Expected Quantity

      • Cost (excluding taxes)

      • Track and Trace Number (if applicable)

      • Expiration Date (if applicable)

    • For METRC clients, the good news is that much of this data can be automatically imported from METRC, streamlining the process.

  4. Pending State:

    • Once you've created the manifest or imported it from METRC, it will appear as a "Pending Manifest" within WebJoint.

    • This means it's awaiting your confirmation. When the vendor is set to deliver the products, you can progress to the next stage.

  5. Confirming the Manifest:

    • As the products are being delivered, cross-check that the "Actual Quantity" aligns with the "Expected Quantity" mentioned in the manifest.

    • After verification, click on "Accept the Manifest". This crucial step confirms the receipt of inventory and moves it out of the pending state.

  6. Inventory Integration:

    • Post acceptance, WebJoint will automatically introduce the inventory into the system as distinct packages.

    • It then assigns these packages to their corresponding products within WebJoint, ensuring that your inventory list stays up-to-date.

Conclusion:
Creating a manifest in WebJoint is not just an administrative task but an essential part of efficient inventory management. By following the above steps, you ensure that your inventory records remain organized, accurate, and easy to manage. Regularly updating and verifying manifests also safeguards against potential discrepancies, helping you maintain a smooth flow in your inventory processes.
