Introduction:
For delivery-based operations, it's essential to accurately assign inventory kits to specific vehicles. This ensures that the drivers have the right products for their deliveries and aids in maintaining accurate inventory tracking. This guide will demonstrate how to attach a kit to a vehicle using the WebJoint platform.

Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Access Your Inventory:
Start by navigating to the "Inventory" tab on the WebJoint dashboard.

2. Open Locations:
Within the "Inventory" section, click on the "Locations" option. This will bring up a list of all your vehicles.

3. Choose the Vehicle:
Scroll through the list to find the vehicle to which you want to assign a kit.

4. Initiate the Shift:
Next to the vehicle's details, you'll find an "Actions" button. Click on it and select "Start Shift" from the dropdown menu.

5. Assign Driver and Kit:
A new window will pop up, prompting you to:

  • Assign a Driver: Select the driver who will be handling this vehicle.

  • Assign a Kit: Locate the dropdown labeled "Kit." Click on it and choose the appropriate kit that you want to assign to this vehicle.

  • Input Starting Cash: Mention the initial cash amount that the driver starts the shift with. This helps in cash reconciliation at the end of the shift.

  • Input Starting Mileage: Record the vehicle's starting mileage to track its usage.

6. Review Vehicle's Inventory:
Once you've assigned the kit to the vehicle, a new "Inventory" tab will appear at the top of the page. Clicking on this tab lets you view the contents of the assigned kit. Note that while you can view the inventory from here, any management or changes to the kit should be done in the "Kits" section under "Inventory."

Conclusion:
Attaching a kit to a vehicle is a straightforward process in WebJoint. By following these steps, businesses can ensure that their drivers are equipped with the correct inventory for their delivery routes, promoting efficiency and customer satisfaction.
